An Incredible story.....

I received this in my email today........

In 1986, Peter Davies was on holiday in Kenya after graduating from Northwestern University .

On a hike through the bush, he came across a young bull elephant standing with one leg raised in the air. The elephant seemed distressed, so Peter approached it very carefully.

He got down on one knee and inspected the elephant's foot and found a large piece of wood deeply embedded in it. As carefully and as gently as he could, P eter worked the wood out with his hunting knife, after which the elephant gingerly put down its foot. The elephant turned to face the man, and with a rather curious look on its face, stared at him for several tense moments. Peter stood frozen, thinking of nothing else but being trampled. Eventually the elephant trumpeted loudly, turned, and walked away. Peter never forgot that elephant or the events of that day.

Twenty years later, Peter was walking through the Chicago Zoo with his teenaged son. As they approached the elephant enclosure, one of the creatures turned and walked over to near where Peter and his son Cameron were standing. The large bull elephant stared at Peter, lifted its front foot off the ground, then put it down. The elephant did that several times then trumpeted loudly, all the while staring at the man.

Remembering the encounter in 1986, Peter couldn't help wondering if thi s was the same elephant. Peter summoned up his courage, climbed over the railing and made his way into the enclosure. He walked right up to the elephant and stared back in wonder. The elephant trumpeted again, wrapped its trunk around one of Peter legs and slammed his stupid ass against the railing, killing him instantly.

Probably wasn't the same elephant.

It's Pedra Branca forever........

The 28 year-old dispute between Malaysia and Singapore over a few pebbles in the South China Sea is finally over. On 23 May 2008, the International Court of Justice (ICJ), which is based in Hague, delivered its judgment over the sovereignty of Pedra Branca (Pulau Batu Puteh), Middle Rocks, and South Ledge.

The ICJ's judgment states that :

1. Pedra Branca / Pulau Batu Puteh belongs to the Republic of Singapore;
2. Middle Rocks belongs to Malaysia;
3. South Ledge belongs to the State in the territorial waters of which it is located (?)

"This morning's decision is a 'win-win' outcome to both sides. The ICJ decided based on historical facts and international law as well as administrative implications and other related matters...the court decided to award sovereignty to Singapore but at the same time awarded sovereignty over Middle Rocks to Malaysia. This is a victory for Malaysia as well..." - Malaysia's Foreign Minister Datuk Seri Rais Yatim.

Well, Syabas Malaysia ! Congratulation Singapore !

Pedra Branca also housed the famous Horsburgh Lighthouse which was built in 1851. The lighthouse was named after James Horsburgh of the East India Company. Too bad, Malaysia lost this beautiful lighthouse to Singapore. I do hope Malaysians can take the ICJ's decision like REAL gentlemen and refrained from holding unnecessary emotional protests and demonstrations. Let's us respect the international law, and not behaving like cry babies to start boycotting each other's products and services.

It is a crime to be sexy ?

“......A Malaysian group condemned the uniform worn by girls at government schools, saying it encouraged rape and pre-marital sex............. The white blouse is too transparent for girls and it becomes a source of attraction,............ that covering up according to xxxxxxx precepts was important to fend off social ills, including rape, sexual harassment and even premarital sex....”

The above is an extract of a news report published in the local newspaper today. I am a bit blurred now. Am I supposed to accept the argument that the offender is in fact a victim because he can't control his sexual urges ? Indeed I find it very amusing to read such comments from the so called religiously righteous people. On the other hand, I am now also beginning to understand why there are so many sexual criminals out there. Well, what can I say, some people do have a very funny and perverted sense of justice. My honest opinion is, present day society has so much social problems, not because of the dress codes of women, but too many narrow minded and misguided morons with misplaced religious values giving perverted criminals the religious justifications to commit sexual crimes. So, it is religiously correct to blame the victims and defend those criminals who commit sexual crimes ? Wow !

I do not wish to be insensitive to other people religious sensitivity on dress code. But my personal opinion is, if a person want to dress like an Arab, by all means, that is his or her rights. But in their eagerness to glorify their religious values, they should have the same religiosity to respect the rights of others. How can civilized people be sensitive to those religiously misguided people who always felt that it is their right to impose their religious insensitivity on others ? I am sicked and tired of these people's noisy and smelly discharges of contaminated energies. This is the 21st century, not the caveman century. Humanity has evolved to become a civilized society. It is beyond my comprehension of faiths and reasons to see there are still many groups of noisy people glorifying outdated values of human rights.

They said, don't judge a book by its cover. My personal belief is, how a woman dress has nothing to do with her morality and character. She is merely exercising her rights for freedom of expressions. It is a woman's rights to creatively show her perfections through clothings. Why are some of the so called religious inclined people find it so difficult to accept this basic fundamental rights of women ? Is it the fault of the victim if her choice of clothings “provoked” a pervert to lust like a barbaric animal ? So, according to some of these religiously inclined people, it is justified for those perverts to commit sexual crimes ? Why are these so called religiously educated people giving excuses to the sexual predators to justify their perverted sexual crimes ? Well, what can I say ? Some mothers do have them. And Yes, they do walk among us.

My honest feeling is, it is acceptable to have your own standard of morality and brag about the greatness of your religion, but the right thing to do is, KEEP YOUR RELIGIOUSITY TO YOURSELF ! DON'T USE THE GOOD NAME OF YOUR RELIGION TO IMPOSE YOUR MISGUIDED NARROW MINDEDNESS AND STUPIDITIES ON OTHERS. If you are ashamed of the imperfections of your own body, by all means, please use whatever gunnysacks to cover your self. That is your rights. If you insist on revealing clothes to show the artistic imperfections of your body, that is also your rights. But if you persist on invoking your religion to unreasonably impose your biased rights, and expect others to be sensitive to your rights to your misguided intolerances, may I remind you that, not all of us profess the same religion as you. So, please mind your own business, leave the good name of religion alone, and park your religious insensitivity elsewhere !

A sexual offense is a criminal offense. Period. It is a great sin for those who continuously harping on religious justifications to defend those criminals' behaviors. A criminal who committed sexual offense should be punished accordingly. It is despicable to blame the victims simply because those sexually deprived two legged animals can't control their urges.

The sad plights of some Malaysians......

“An aspiring doctor had her dreams dashed when the Public Services Department (PSD) rejected her application to study medicine overseas. K. Kamine Devi, who scored 10 A1s in last year's SPM, said she had her heart set on becoming a doctor that she even participated in an attachment programme which exposed her to a doctor's job in April.....” Read further HERE.

How could this happened ? The possible reasons could be, either we have too many top scorers in the recent public examinations, or the government can no longer afford to offer scholarship to bright students. I sincerely doubt our present education system is capable of producing too many top students capable of scoring more than 10 A1's. I remembered, many years ago, a professor in a Canadian university, after observing so many sponsored students from Malaysia failed in his class, out of desperations, he remarked “are you people the best talents from your country ? “ Honestly, I don't know what prides these privileged underachievers have, but I do felt ashame to be associated with them. Because of their selfish needs, they brought shames to the country.

I do wonder, on yearly basis, how many scholarships has been given out ? I do hope the Public Services Department can publish a list of students who are given scholarships together with their academic results.

The news article reminded me about a real incident. About a month ago, I was told, a local public listed company conducted a scholarship awards interviewing on short listed candidates in Kuala Lumpur. A number of candidates came for the interviews on chauffeured driven expensive cars. The funny thing is, why would these rich kids from well to do family competing with the poor to deny them the opportunity for better education ? If they can afford expensive vehicles costing hundreds of thousands of Ringgits, can't these rich families afford education for their own children ? Why are they still immorally living like parasites of the society ? For how long can the society sustain this insensitive indecency of these people who are financially well to do, but perpetually mentally under-privileged ?

I do hope those scholarship holders with lower grades of academic results can have the basic decency to return their scholarships, so that deserving students from poor families are not indecently denied the opportunities for better education.

There are always righteous but misguided Malaysians going around the world championing the rights of others ( which is none of our business anyway) in other countries, and some felt they also have the moral authority to shout noisy farting languages towards other fellow Malaysians about their rights and privileges. How about for a start, they empathize with the plights of others in Malaysia, instead of parasitically perpetuating the satisfaction of their unpatriotic and selfish needs ? I do hope these morons can have some right perspective of justice, fair play, and a culture of decency.

I do sincerely hope those who can afford to pay for their children's tertiary education, and those who are academically not qualified to receive scholarships can do the right things by returning the scholarships, so that other truly deserving and poor students are not deny the opportunities to better education. Let face it, a Mat Rempit will never become a Formula One driver. Likewise, an academically incapable student will never become academically inclined. Every Ringgit spend on a worthless and undeserving student, is a Ringgit lost. So, let us not waste our scare resources on them.

Let's us all have fair eyes for humanity. It is a great sin to commit deliberate degradation of human dignity and unfair treatments based on race, religion, creed, or whatsoever. Be fair, play fair, and let's not make life any more difficult for the poor and deserving students. Let us help them to realize their dreams by not denying them the opportunity for better education.

What colour is your soccer ball ?

I found this April 26th 2008 article in AFP interesting. It was reported that 21 groups in Malaysia threatened to hold mass protest if the Malaysian government allow Chelsea's Israeli coach, Avram Grant, and defender, Tal Ben Haim, playing tour match in Malaysia. According to one of the protester, “The reason for the travel ban to Malaysia is to isolate Israel which is a rogue state. If the Israeli footballers are allowed in, the government will be considered as being insensitive to the Palestinian people,.....” Read HERE for further report.

Now, I ask myself : “Is Israel a rouge state ?” I do find it irrationally unfair for certain biased groups to impose their biased opinions on others. Israel is a member country of the United Nations, so is Malaysia. Honestly, I think we should have the self respect of not calling other nations with degrading names. If we Malaysians start calling another member nation of the United Nations a rogue state because of our racist biases, aren't we also one by default ?

I understand there are never ending violent conflicts between Israel and Palestine in the Middle East. I honestly do not believe these conflicts can disappeared during the next 100 years as long as both sides continued to resort to violences, and stupid idiots from all over the world taking sides to cheer them on. As much as I empathized with the plights of the Palestinians, I also empathized with the sufferings of the Israelis. All of us should just stay neutral, let some of the war cravings Palestinians and Israelis to settle the score themselves. What makes some of these noisy people think that they own the moral rights to impose their noisy and misguided biases to force the rest of the Malaysians to take side ? Come on, as much as they want their sensitivity to be respected, I do sincerely hope that they can have some basic decency to respect the sensitivity of the rest of the Malaysians who do not wish to take side in the conflicts between Israel and Palestine.

Further more, we are talking about sports here. Everyone should have the basic decency to leave politics and religious preferences in friendship building sports activities. If you do not like to watch a particular nation playing the game, please stay at home and keep your religious and racist intolerances to yourself. The act of hijacking the sacredness of religion and racial ignorances to instigate hatreds against others is the most despicable deeds we should all avoid.

For those of you who love soccer, the Chelsea team is scheduled to play the Malaysian team on July 29th 2008. So book your tickets early to avoid disappointment. However, if those misguided people carry out their threat by holding mass protests at the stadium, I do sincerely hope the Police can play fair to round them up and send them to Hotel Kamunting. Afterall, the authority have no problem arresting the organizers of the Hindraf's mass protest, It is only fair in the name of maintaining peace and order that these misguided trouble makers be rounded up also to enjoy their curried rice in the Kamunting resort.

Keep Malaysia out of the Middle East conflicts. Majority of Malaysians love peace and do not wish to instigate the perpetuation of violences in the middle east. Please leave religious intolerances out from our favorite sports. If you still insist on supporting and taking sides in the Middle East conflicts, please buy a air ticket to fly to either Israel and Palestine to stage your protest there.

We are all educated and civilized people. Why are we still allowed ourselves to be irrationally emotional in spreading hatreds against other nations and races ? We want to champion the rights and plights of other people in other countries ? How about we start championing the rights and plights of all Malaysians in Malaysia ? Look around you. Have you been sensitive to the plights and rights of your fellow Malaysians in Malaysia ? The right things for all of us to do is, to refrain from acting like forked tongue specialists farting smelly noises. Indeed, sometimes, we are shamelessly exactly what we said of others.

Am I being insensitive by refusing to take side ? If wanting to stay neutral is offensive to some, then LET IT BE. May all the narrow minded and misguided racists be forever condemned to hell.

I pray for the healing of wounds between Palestinians and Israelis begin, let there be PEACE and LOVE.
