The longest day.....

I was having an emotionally drenching period since 9:00AM yesterday. My son was admitted to a private hospital in Subang Jaya yesterday morning after complaining about stomach discomfort for almost two weeks.

He consulted a private doctor about two weeks ago and was prescribed with antibiotic, but the problem persists. About week ago, he consulted a Gastrointestinal Specialist at the private hospital. The specialist prescribed some medications, but the medications did not ease his discomfort. A day before yesterday, he conveyed to me that the discomfort is not getting any better, and he is also encountering back pains. I got alarmed about his health condition and worried that there maybe some other bigger health issues involved. My son told me that he will have to go back to consult the specialist again the next day.

My son was accompanied by my wife to the hospital yesterday morning. Due to my recent health condition, my wife advised me to stay at home. She SMSed me later that the doctor admitted my son for further diagnostic tests and evaluations. I waited at home anxiously hoping that everything will turn out okay for my son. By 6:00PM yesterday, they are still at the hospital. I was getting a little bit more worries, so I asked my brother to drive me to the hospital to assess the situation myself.

I was informed that, my son has gone through blood test, urine test, ultrasound, endoscopy, colonoscopy, and is due to be scan by MRI at 8;00PM that evening. I stay back at the hospital to await for my son to go through the MRI which was completed by 9:30PM. But the imaging result will only be out the next day. I left the hospital with more lingering worries.......

Today, my wife visited my son in the hospital. The MRI imaging result came out at around 12:30 noon. The doctor advised that, all the tests did not indicate any serious problem. So, they still can not find out the underlying problem of my son. My son was advised to go for cystoscopy later in the afternoon to assess the condition of bladder and urethra. So within 2 days, this poor young man had to go through so many tests. First, they scoped through his anus, then the mouth, then pumping dyes into his body to take images of his internal organs, now they also want to scope through his penis ! Modern medicines, I shake my head …..

I do hope the Cystoscopy will be the last medical procedure the good doctor is going to perform on my son to identify the root problems. It is unbearable for me to see my son go through this medical procedures. I know, he is a brave young man because he is my son !

My wife keep telling me not to worry too much about my son. The problem is, how can I not worry about my son ? He is my son, and I want him to come back home as soon as possible. I can't bear to see the fears, desperations, and anxieties written all over his face, or am I over recting. Whatever it is, my son is still in the hospital, and the past 30 hours or so has been a difficult longest day for me..

The funny guy up there do have a very perverted sense of naughtiness. Hey, enough is enough ! Don't you think I had been through enough of all these nonsenses ?

Of Life and Baby......

A good friend of mine once made a very honest remark about me. He said "You wife treat you like a baby !" and "we need to expose you !" Yes, I am a very INNOCENT BABY !

Goodness ! Come to think about it, I think I am indeed a baby. I have been married for umpteen years and my son is even taller than me now. Every morning, my wife wakes me up to go to office and she accompanies me for breakfast. In the evening, I am allowed to decide what I want to eat but end up complying to everybody's preferences. Yes, I am a very accomodative BABY.

My son thinks that I need to be protected. Every time, if I need to go out at night, they will make sure somebody drives me around. My wife even decides what I should eat or drink. When come to purchasing decision for household items, they made all the small decision such as what car to buy, where to go for holiday, which properties to invest, how the house should be renovated or refurbished, what audio visual equipments to be installed, etc. etc. I am usually left with the major decision of deciding who we should vote for in the general election ! I am a BIG and WISE BABY !

Life is pretty simple for me isn't it ? Am I living a controlled life ? Frankly, at my age, I have no complaints whatsoever with my daily routine. Life goes on, and I tagged along. I'm definitely not a indecisive person, but it is not fair for me to wave decisions or choices that have been made priory. It is better for me to be adaptive and practical, rather than incurring extra headaches for indulging in unnecessary issues. When the family is at peace, this baby is also at peace with himself. By the way, it take a lot of guts and sacrifices to be baby. You really need to be a man before you can be accepted as a baby. Baby tends to receive and showered with a lot of love ! I guess I am a blessed one probably due to my previous karma in my previous life. It is nice to be a BABY !

Seriously, marriage has done me a lot of good. At least, after a hard day work, I have a family to go home to. If my mind have any slightest tendencies of perverted diversion, a slight thoughts of my wife and children will quickly bring me back to my senses. Other than being a baby, I am also a very responsible and a sensitive man. You know ? I am such an adorable BABY !

At times, when I am very stresses out from the office, coming home to the smiles from my children or holding my wife's hand can do wonders to relief my stress instantaneously. I guess my wife know this big baby is a sucker for home sweet home with a touch of aromatic black coffee. Well, what else can I say, a BABY is always a sweet BABY !

Talking about black coffee. I will call it a day now, to go for my coffee break before I go home to be pampered like BABY......

A Father's Hope.......

My son,
life is full of roses around you.
Roses come in varied colours, smells, and sizes,
but I can not tell you which rose to pluck.
But be aware,
the wrong roses can lead you to thorny roads ahead......

There will be many crossroads in your life,
I hope I will always be there to give you advises,
but you have to own the responsibilities to make decisions.
I can not walk the roads for you.......

I have walked my paths with my own experiences.
I can only tell you my life experiences,
I can not make you walk my path.
And I can not create experiences for you.
You have to adapt and learn the realities of life,
and walk out from pitfalls to be a better man......

I believe in the Almighty.
I can go on and on to tell you about religion.
But I can not make you a believer,
and which religious path you should lead.
I know, God in his miraculous way,
will find the right path for you.....

I can give you good education,
a good home, and a comfortable lifestyle.
But I can not make you a learned man,
a good man, a family man, and a charitable person.
It is my sincere hope that,
these moral foundation I built within you,
can leads you to be a man of moral and principle.

I can instil in you
integrity, honesty, responsibility, and accountability.
But I can not built reputation for you.
You are your own man, your words, deeds, and actions
shall establish your standings in society.

The roads ahead are full of uncertainties and surprises
I can teach you about patient, perseverance, and humility,
But I can not live these life's rough patches for you.
You will have to develop your inner strength
to sail through life voyages....

Son, I have brought you to this life,
with your youth,
your wings are stronger than mine now.
Your time has come,
please fly and taste the spice of life.
But wherever you go,
please remember this old man rooted here.
Whenever you need the comfort of home,
I will always be here for you.
24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and whole year round.
I will never rest, I will always be here for you.
Because,
you are, and will always be on my mind............

Son, for whatever paths you take,
it is my sincere hope that,
you shall achieve success in your own way.
I shall always pray that,
the Almighty grants you a life
of good health, happiness, prosperities,
and a life of no regret..........
