Big issues over a small piece of tissue.....

I read a piece of ODD news from Reuters.

It looks like Paris will soon become the prefer destination for hymenoplasty ! Now, what is hymenoplasty ? Simply put, it is a 30 minutes outpatient medical surgical process to resew a woman's hymen so that she can regain her virginity. The "hymen reconstruction" process costs approximately 3000 euros ( about RM 12,000). Increasingly it has become a very sought after "treatment" by young women of certain religion in France because, due to family honour, the men will only marry virgins.

A woman who is sexually active, but before she got married to her man, wanted to be technically a virgin again to make him feel good about landing a virgin ? Ahhhh... This world is full of religious hypocrites. Why the big fuzz over a small piece of screwed tissued ? Why not donate the money to be wasted on the medical procedure to charity causes such as orphanages and old folks homes ? My honest opinion is, if you committed a "sin", the most honorable thing to do is to repent through prayers and good deeds. Why resorting to the dishonourable means to white wash your sin. Does faked virginity equates with diginity and honour ?

On one hand, we see these people going around the world trying to impose and seeking respect for their "honoured" values. On the other hand, they also enjoyed the "dishonoured and decadences" lifestyle. Come on, give me a break. All these airs of faked righteousness and morality is choking me into sarcasms...... Now I know, for a small sum of money, you can medically reconstruct respect, tradition, morality, pride, and honour. Come on, give me a break ! I really pity those righteous men that married these honoured brides - sacred marriages that built on the foundation of lies, deceives, and faked morality. No wonder these world is in such a mess !

Not wanting to be a male chauvinistic pig and politically incorrect, but I really can't help but to have a quick jab on this social stupidity of women. I guess, behind those veils, some women are the same, two boobs attached to a lump of protoplasms.

Call it hypocrisy, but fact is in some sectors of Western society, there is still significant value placed in a virgin bride. I can think of devout Catholics, Jews and conservative Protestants, not to forget Europe also has a large Muslim minority. Never mind if the bridegroom has had plenty of "experience" elsewhere, when it comes to marriage , there is still a premium placed on a virgin.
So in this materialistic society, where there is demand, someone will work out a way to make money by meeting the need - presto ! reconstructed virgins.
