The Chicken Soup Politics

Once upon a time, for some strange reasons, the land of the “Little Venice” of South America, tried very hard to attract international attention.

First, its president tried very hard to exert his influence and wanting to be the Tai-Kor of Latino countries, but most of the Latinos don't give a damn. Like it or not, most Latino countries still look up to the United Steaks of America (USA). Empty political slogans don't fill hungry stomachs, but juicy steaks do. So the “Huge-Ego” president from the Little Venice got annoyed, he took offense of USA's influences on most of the South American countries. He went on a cartoon strips diplomatic offensive against USA. He gestured the USA's president as ape, but befriended the monkeys to seek international support for his lost pride. But the USA also don't give a damn of him. Oooop, that hurts !

Out of frustrations, he fantasized invasions from the USA. He ordered hundreds of snipers to be positioned at various buildings awaiting the invasion of the mighty USA armies. He rallied his country men to fight the USA. But the problem is, his mostly urbanized countrymen don't give a damn. And the USA don't bother to respond to his joke. So, his fantasy can not come true and his faked war cries did not incite hatreds of USA. Ooop, that hurts again !

So, what is the “Huge-Ego” going to do next to seek international attention and domestic popularity ? Wait, wait, wait.... he has another trick up his sleeve. He is going to cook the world's biggest cauldron of stew, in another word, the world's biggest pot of chicken soup. So huge that, the poors will gather around the big pot to sing and spread words of praises for him. Well, dream on, your lordship !

So, on September 14th, 2007, in the auspicious occasion of the Hindu's Lord Ganesha's birthday, he tried to outdo the Mexican's Guinness Record of 5300 litres of spicy soup with the claimed 15,000 litres of “Bolivarian” stew in a one quarter emptied 20,490 litre pot. They did claimed that the huge pot of soup was enough to feed 60,000 to 70,000 people. According to them, the soup contained 3000 kg of chicken, 2000 kg of beef, and tonnes of legumes and vegetables.

Standing next to the big pot of supposedly world's biggest pot of soup, they admitted to the reporters that the government is having problems managing essential staples like milk and eggs. He blamed the “world problem” for the short supply. It is all other people's faults, isn't it ?

But the problem is, the Guinness World's Records don't give a damn about the Big Pot Of Stew. So, the Mexican still hold the world's record for having once served the world's biggest pot of soup. Too bad, too bad, another publicity attempt to seek world's recognition had gone unrecognized.

Sometimes I do wonder, if a government can't even managed simple supply and demand equation of milks and eggs for its people, what makes them think that they have the decency and morality to seek international recognition of their unwelcome views and opinions ? It would make more sense if these politicians can spend more time seducing the chickens in the countryside to lay more eggs, and caressing the cows' breast to produce more milk. Mr Hugh Ego, please mind your own business in your own country. 頭小不要想戴大帽. In another word, refrained from wearing a big hat when you have a small head. The world is not your stage ! Third world's mentalities seeking First world's acceptance ? The world is not sensitive to your needs ? Well, somebody once said, “you can fooled some people all the times, all people some of the times, But, you will never fooled all the people all the times”

Honestly, no insensitivity intended. Occasionally, I do have misguided strong opinions on various issues. My apology if my comments offended some people's insensitivity. But these are my frank opinions and observations. This world is full of dangerously sicked people trying their level best to make this world a difficult place for humanity. I shake my head........ May God bless those lost and misguide souls to have some basic sanity.......

Nevermind, on this glorious Sunday, let us all now sing this beautiful Christian songs - Amazing Grace. Let's all forgive and be forgiven !

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.

T'was Grace that taught...
my heart to fear.
And Grace, my fears relieved.
How precious did that Grace appear...
the hour I first believed.

Through many dangers, toils and snares...
we have already come.
T'was Grace that brought us safe thus far...
and Grace will lead us home.

The Lord has promised good to me...
His word my hope secures.
He will my shield and portion be...
as long as life endures.

When we've been here ten thousand years...
bright shining as the sun.
We've no less days to sing God's praise...
then when we've first begun.

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me....
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now, I see.
